i have a few files to share .....i dont want to use torrentwebsites or any servers to share(but it is ok to share thru torrents making my pc as server)...is there any way to give link to my HDD to download files from my hard disk...
i mean i'm giong to ask my PC itself wants to act like a small server....
and also allow to upload files from others.....
i think it may feel u funny:(

not sure if you can but goin on what you say your just opening the door for your pc to b exploited !! :)

P.S meant to say earlier you can setup like you say through mirc which is internet realy chat, for instance you can advertise what you have in the certain channel and peeps can access what you have etc . Visit there website think its mirc.com or google it up for more info :)

Since you don't know FTP, you better avoid even using Linux. Try looking for more information about FTP. It's not that hard to set up and people can connect to your hard drive to download and upload files.

Is there any way to use FTP without no-ip (even i'm having dynamic IP)
cos i'm not using my files from other computer, however my frnd is going to use from his computer...If with every reboot the ip changes, no probs, im ready to make some alterations in FTP client
but what changes i have to do plz mention
