There's Portable Antivirus 1.6; Get the standalone version.

Some of the AV's featured here are real-time scanners.

MX One also should do the job,

Copy the code below to a notepad and save it as stopautorun.reg.
Run it and merge it into your registry. You won't get infected by usb flash drive anymore.

    REGEDIT4
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\IniFileMapping\Autorun.inf]
    @="@SYS:DoesNotExist"

I'm kind of slowly becoming a fan of Panda stuff. Try this:

Thank you guys, the panda program is neat, but i think it is the same as raymonds registry edit, one question though before i change my registry, do i copy the "REGEDIT4" part (i am sure i do, just want to make sure ), or do i start from "[HKEY_LOCAL_....".
Raymond , that registry edit will prevent my computer from getting infected,do you know of a program that will prevent my usb from getting infected in the first place?, as i will be connecting it to many different computers, and i never know how clean they might be.

Thats what I like about Panda. Disabling the Autorun is extremely smart, and one of the primary steps to securing any machine. Unfortunately, though, that wont keep the USB from getting infected from somewhere else, and then spreading it to another system. Panda's USB vaccine will, as well as disabling the autorun in your primary pc, or any other pc that is vaccinated. The only downside is that IF you want to re-enable the autorun on the USB you will have to reformat it.
It makes diabling the autorun on a friend or customers computer a little more user friendly. Most people are deathly afraid of the registry, and no matter how good you are, they get nervous. This makes it a little more comfortable.

    Start copying from REGEDIT4.

The best way of protecting your USB flash drive from virus infection is to get one with a read-only switch.

Another way is to fill up the drive until there is no space left so there is no chance for the virus to get in.
