IE 7 and IE 8 crashes with HOTMAIL
Hello!
Every time I go to my inbox on HOTMAIL, both IE 7 and IE 8 freeze and crash leaving me empty handed.
In fact, whenever I use IE 8 a dialog appears warning me that "A problem with this website caused IE to close and reopen the tabs", whereas when I use IE 7 the Hotmail webpage disappears almost instantly.
Please note that this problem occurs just with HOTMAIL as there is no problem accessing any other sites apart from TAGGED.COM.
I tried to disable all the ADD-ONS but despite that the problem still persists.
So the question is:
How can I fix this issue once and for all without being forced to migrate to another browser every time I need to login to HOTMAIL website?
Cheers from Italy.

Two things I'd advice you to do.
1. Reset Internet Explorer's setting.
Go to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced tab > and click the Reset button.
2. Download Hijackthis, run it and post the logs here. This will show what BHO is installed.

I had that problem for awhile...it ended up being a bad BHO file, once it was removed the problems stopped. Doing what Raymond said, "Reset button" will reset all of your settings, but the problem should stop, If not try locating the bad bho helper file and removing it(It could also be malware/spyware in your browser). Like i.e. add-ons you don't remember installing into IE. And why do you have both IE7 and 8? 8 should be more than sufficient..especially if you are updated to the newest version.

In my friend's case, the cause of the flashing of screen was a nasty virus.
You just copy paste the log of HijackThis here.

Instead of using Chrome, try logging in to Hotmail using a different web browser such as Internet Explorer or Firefox and see if you're still experiencing the problem.
If no, try reinstalling Chrome. If yes, then something is wrong, probably has virus.

Just a thought, when I log in to hotmail, it always logs me in to Messenger. This causes a delay where I cannot access the mail until it loads. I've found no way to prevent this. A possible cause for these crashes?
