"Plax Network Suite"...installed fine once only

then I had to reinstall it and it won't because it's missing this dll...."MFC71.DLL", I've tried everything from reinstalling (message box comes up and says usually reinstall will correct it) but it doesn't work. I've tried looking for the dll and downloaded it from a dll site, didn't do any good. Couldn't merge it so I just wound up deleting it. Strange thing is I open the Plax folder and the dll in question is right there. I went into the registry and deleted all traces of Plax and tried reinstalling, no luck. Does the problem in any way have anything to do with 'runtime visual' something or other...? Thanks for any help, I liked that firewall, some features including 'no ping' was great.

Check if MFC71.DLL file is in your Windows\system32 folder?

By right dropping the file in system32 folder would work and you don't need to register it with regsvr32 because it is not an OCX file.

Thanks Raymond, I'll try that, and by the way, your forum and blog are awesome.

I'm afraid it didn't work, provided I did it the right way. I simply copied it to the system 32 folder in Windows. I scrolled to approx place where it should be and copied it there. It seem a little out of place, but it copied in there. Very strange I was able to install once but no more. I did send them a message about it, they haven't answered.

when you say "right dropping" do you mean just adding it to the folder? (excuse my lack of skills, lol)
