Restoring Ghost Image

Hi All

I would like to reimage my C drive with ghost image which is having pqi extension and when i boot with norton ghost 2003 it asks only for gho extension. Can some one help me out

File extension PQI description:
File extension is used by PowerQuest. PowerQuest was acquired by Symantec.

and here programs that open pqi files:
Symantec Norton Ghost (part of Norton SystemWorks)
Symantec/PowerQuest PQIBrowser (PQIBrowser.exe)
PowerQuest Drive Image

you can use one of them to reimage your Os!

I want to restore ghost image having PQI extension and iam having Norton Ghost 2003 bootable cd and when i try to restore the image by giving the path iam getting error invalid extension.

R u update your software to latest? Now it's Norton Ghost 14.0 http://www.symantec.com/norton/ghost. If not i think you should try PowerQuest Drive Image that work fine.

Ghost and PowerQuest is different although PowerQuest is owned by Symantec now. You should boot your computer with PowerQuest and then restore with the PQI image.

HI All

Since i got the pqi image i got the recovery disk of norton ghost 14 and booted the pc from it and bingo it recognised the pqi extesnion and restored the image successfully
