    What antivirus you don't like?

We have always been talking about the antivirus you like. Now let us talk about the antivirus you don't like.

    Rule is simple :
    1. No rogue antivirus.
    2. Give the reason why you don't like it.
    3. You can give more than one AV if you want.

I will start. The AV I don't like is AVG.
    Reason :
    1. It allow 40+ trojans to slip into my computer once.
    2. It took more than 5 hours to scan my computer.

My second AV I don't like is Avast.
    Reason
    1. Even after 3 hours+, full Scan with Avast was only 38% complete.
Thoughts are like a never ending ocean where it is deep, endless and dangerous

1st and will always be first is AVG. It deleted any shred of warez i had installed but never managed to get the viruses flowing in. funny that. plus i've tested AVG internet security 8.5 and it stunk worse than my cats area.

2nd worse would have to be Norton, I compared it to dog $hit, damn i didn't get any laughs ah well. it stunk just as bad as AVG when a PC i got came with 2007 version (screams). that was a nightmare to remove!

Definitely AVG. It's bloated and not effective in detecting virus.

As I am not a strong computer user I can mention only two antivirus progs I tried and had bad experiences with. First Norton IS 2007 (missed a couple of trojan horses), and second AVG which took 7 hours for full scan and did not detect those trojans also.

The first one I hate, is AVG. I'm sick of hearing about how "amazing it is" from some of my friends, but I can't recommend it. Missed trojans, slow start ups, long scans that detect nothing wrong... the list goes on and on. And then they have the goodwill to be one of the hardest to remove without Revo? I'm sorry, that's NOT how we make an antivirus. It takes the top prize for worst AV.

Runner up, is the forum favourite: Kaspersky. It costs FAR too much for one year, it slows down my internet profusely as it constantly scans the page, and it looks damned cluttered. I also dislike trialing it, for one of the errors it comes up with is the constant You are using a Trial, you should update for maximum protection. Reminds me more of adware instead of a legit program. I pray they address these issues, because they are ANNOYING.

Norton used to have top position but recently has addressed many issues I disliked it for. Now it just leaves a nasty taste in my mouth, not a full blown odor. I'd still not recommend it for it's cluttered interface. But it at least detects Eicar in the 2009 version. It takes third place.

Avast has good detection since it stops virus before penetrating system, well this is the case of the pro version and I dont like the personal one. Pay more to get more.

I used commodo antivirus but was really slow and even slowed my computer when making full scan. Well now I dont know if it still the case the periode that I am talking is 2005-2006.

Bit defender although had a good repuration was annoying my pc since it used to interfer with my internet connection.

    Norton also slowed my pc.

Now I am back to avast pro for my subscription reason and have to stick for some years.

2nd avira ended up with too many false positives and crashing explorer at startup

I have tried Norton, Macafee and AVG and personally, I didn't like any of them. Especially AVG, which slowed my computer down the most.
