need a review for AVG Internet Security 8.5

my kaspersky antivirus 2009 promotional license key had expired and i was looking for a good antivirus. then i read raymonds review on eset products version 4 and tried out smart security4. but its too much a memory hogger. now im trying out avg IS 8.5 and it seems pretty good on threats and memory. however kaspersky is my first choice but unfortunately there are no recent promotions. so im looking for a review on AVG IS 8.5.

p.s. Im totally against spending money on antivirus so dont even think abyt suggesting me to

Try Avira Free. And combine it with Comodo Firewall. You're set to get.

AVG was good once upon a time. AVG 8.5 is decent but there are better alternatives around.

I would not recommend AVG 8 in ANY case. It is a bloatware and just doesn't perform well in front of its competitors.
Try Avira Free or Avast! AV. Both are absolutely free and provide better protection than AVG, if you ask me.
