DirectX 10 - more space?

I'd installed DX10 for XP by KM-Software(dwnlded frm here). Recently, when i was browsin' my Add or Remove Programs, i saw that DX10 used about 1,574 mb of HDD space. Juz wanted to knw, is it normal to take up that much space? I juz dont wanna lose 1.5 gigs for DX10..
