    Best PC maintenance software?

There are a lot of programs such as tuneup utilities 2009,advanced system care pro and uni blue speed up my PC just to name a few. They are claim to find like 300 errors with your PC so my question is this. What is the best one or do they all exaggerate results. I don't mean which of the 3 I mean which of any tuneup/maintenance software made is best.

I find CCleaner is the safest and gets a lot of the cr*p on your computer. Other then that, I have no recent experience. I used to use TuneUp Utilities when I was still using Windows XP. Now that I'm on Vista/Ubuntu, I use Ccleaner on my flash drive and that's all I've really ever needed.

actually i dont think there IS any software out there which can clean a messed up pc. Yes, Advanced Windows Care does some good work and so does ccCleaner but I think you yourself can do a better job. Honestly, ive had a horrible experience with tuneup (it slowed down my pc so much that i had to do a clean reboot). Here's what you can do:

Once a week (or at least once in every 15 days) carry out ur pc's maintainance work:

    1. defragment your hard drive
    2. clean your "C:\Windows\Temp" folder
    3. Run Disk Cleanup
    4. Go to Run, type "services.msc". When the dialog box appears, right click on any service you find useless and click on Properties. Set Startup type as Disabled.

    5. If the software responsible for the useless process is already uninstalled, you can remove the service by this tool: http://www.raymond.cc/blog/archives/...uninstallation

NOTE: The steps 4 and 5 are not meant for basic users because if these methods are very powerful and can mess up ur computer beyond recovery.

    6. Finally go to ur hard drives and delete any useless folders (if they cant be deleted shred them )

reboot and enjoy (method tested and working for me)

JV16 Powertools. Its the best and I used ASC pro, Tune Up Utilities, registry mechanic, desktop maestro, but this one is by far the best. Join the ASC Pro giveaway on Freebies, you never know.
