    help please with vista Home Edition key

    i bought Vista Home Premium in italy and trying to install it in my laptop.
    I have to problems
    1- since i bought it in italy it only comes in italian and no option for english
    2- when i put the registration key it says this key is for aggiornamento only or for upgrade only while the cover only says WINDOWS VISTA HOME PREMIUM WITH SERVICE PACK 1
    Please help i am really going crazy with thIs

    Well,IMO you should contact Microsoft in this regard .as you purchased the key .

    I bought the upgrade version. You should have bought WINDOWS VISTA HOME PREMIUM.

    I suppose you bought only a Vista Home Premium upgrade version, not a full Vista H.E SP1 DVD.
    However you should be prompted to choose between english or italian language during installation.

    Would you please upload a screenshot with the cover you bought?
    I'll take a look into and I'll translate it for you

    do note: "aggiornamento" means "upgrade" (but it can be transtlated "update" too)

    You can download english language and instal on top of it and then choose english as language.

    as far as I know, no, it shouldn't work with Windows Vista Home PREMIUM (it is different with Vista Business and Ultimate).
    As I said every Italian FULL Vista Home Premium Editions offer to choose between english and italian during setup.

    He is likely to have bought only an upgrade version

    well first of all thanks all of you for answering
    my brother did buy it.He knows nothing about software and computers.
    yes it is the upgrade version of windows vista. i found out at the vista forum even while reading the cover. he is going back to italy in a few days and maybe they will accept it again and replace it with the full version. If not i am lost
    it cost me a fortune and it will serve for nothing. nay idea what else can i do?
