AIM Stored Password Recovery
I'm trying to recover a stored password for AIM Version 5.9.6089. I have tried AIM (AOL Instant Messenger) Password Recovery from ReactiveSoftware as well as AIM Password Recovery from TopPassword.com. Both programs were unable to detect my version. Any other options or programs?

AIM Version 5.9.6089 is really old, dated year 2006.
Try this.

If nothing works, try upgrading to the latest version (hope that it will import the old settings) and allowing you to recover.

Try that link.
Off-topic: I think that AIM 5.X is the best version of AIM. Do not further this thought.

Neither of those sites worked. Thanks though.

AIM 5:
AIM 5 only used to store MD5 hashes of the passwords on the local system (hashes were also transferred over to the AIM server to authenticate). Password recovery from a hash is next to impossible.
It may be impossible.

What file is the MD5 information stored in?
