    windows 7

    guys my friend gave me unused license key of windows 7 ultimate.i have the dvd of windows 7 released candidate .can i activate my license in released candidate version.

    you cant.RC Versions expire by march.so its advisable only to activate that key in retail version or the RTM version. moreover RC keys are different from retail keys.

    Maybe best to borrow a Windows 7 Ultimate disc from someone that you know and just add the new keycode that you have been given.
