    KIS 2009 cbe version problem

Hi, I finally installed this, but after install when the computer reboots it freezes.
I have run removers for the old av (avast) and for avg8 which i used to have.
I have reinstalld kis 2009 cbe several times already, and used its cleaner.
i found online that setting it to not update automatically should fix this, but it did not work.
(apparently it trys to update before you are even online and that is why it would freeze)

It runs ok in safe mode, but to boot in normal I have to disable it first or it freezes the computer and i have to hard boot the system.

The computer freezes sometimes before I even log in!

If kis is disabled i can start in normal mode, but it will freeze if i try to run kis.

    What is wrong?

Hi, I ran that, but the possibly incompatibles it found were not on the list of programs that are not compatible to kis 2009. (it just searches them by name?)

    What do i do now?

    The programs are:
    a-squared anti-malware (disabled)
    Deep Ball Defender (game)
    SpywareBlaster
    Webvideo author
    anvir taskmanager
Malware bytes anti-malware (free version-so no realtime)
    Steganos shredder
online armor (disabled ) i told kis not to install firewall, as i am keeping online armor.
    windows defender (disabled)

These are not on the list of incompatibles, but some have names similar (steganos, anvir, etc...) so I think this gsi parser just looks for similar names? (deep ball DEFENDER is a game, but is flagged.)

When I installed it , it looked for incompatible softwares and these did not come up?
And i was told it worked ok with a-sqared and malwarebyes.

i am on Vista Home premium sp1, recent updates and kis worked in safe mode so i scanned. Computer should be clean.

one time, when i had to boot into safe mode, i set all the installed kis modules to off, and it still would not run in normal mode.

If you're using the IS, remove Online Armor immediately.

If you wanted to keep it, it's best to use the KAV. You can't disable Kaspersky's firewall completely, unless you disable Kaspersky itself. That's where your conflicts lie.

Reinstall the KIS with Firewall and remove Online Armor... yes you're loosing protection, but no doubt the portion that controls the firewall is still active and still is conflicting.

I do not understand why the firewall would conflict? When I installed i did custom install and told the kis not to install its firewall, so how could that be a problem? and when i tried with online armor disabled, i also disabled all related services, from running and from startup.
Why do they even have not to install the firewall option, if it will conflict anyway???

hellnoire is right, Kaspersky conflicts with online armour (personal experience ). Just disable OA and everything should come up fine.
If nothing else works, open command prompt and type 'del C:\Windows'

? it was disabled, and all services also. it was not running and i disabled it all from startup also, so it would not be running when i rebooted.

no i mean uninstall it, remove it completely.

Even though you disabled it some components like dlls perhaps are loaded at start up which cause the whole thing to freeze. In safe mode they are not loaded and hence you can start it easily.
