ASC 3 and Returnil join forces?
For those who use ASC PRO 3 and Returnil...
I've noticed that while Advanced System Care PRO was updating it included Returnil as an update, also I've noticed when I went to ASC's Utilities it included Returnil.
After hearing about the debate on MBAM and ASC... Could this be Iobit's way of gaining more new customers and regaining their old customer's trust?
What will you guys say about this?
Here to prevail on your failures.

certainly looks like it. I wouldn't say that's necessarily a good thing nor a bad thing...returnil is liked by many people, but that doesn't mean they'll go flocking to Iobit. Especially after what happened with 360 Pro.....But I bet that might bring them more customers or at least spike their customer count for a little while. I used to use ASC, but subscription expired and I ended up getting Tune Up Utilities 2009, so not switching back now and I did not like Returnil at all. These types of software you either really love it or really hate it. lol

I don't mind ASC nor do I bother using it... but I use Returnil right now. I'm trying other solutions at this time, but I'm keeping my mind open so far.

yes in return for this the returnil is providing iobit freeversion download in each of the returnil mail they send to their clients

As far as I can see it is just the free versions of each other they are offering. It does not necessarily imply that they are teaming up.

They are just partners...

I did use ASC before (both free & Pro) but no longer...personal choice tells me that I'm better off with CCleaner. I've installed Returnil before (but didn't use it) and now that I've upgraded to Win7, I'm still thinking whether it's worth the installation...I wouldn't want to install a program that I rarely use...
If they feel that by partnering up brings more customers, so be it...it's their choice. It doesn't affect me that much...and many others here too...
As for the ASC vs MBAM issue, perhaps it's time for people to learn to forgive and forget...I still don't think ASC deserves the orange rating on WOT...even though they might have stolen MBAM database (mind you, I'm a MBAM 'fan')..
But then again, to each his own...you decide what's best for you
They call me the mysterious one...

I unstalled ASC after IOBit had been caught stealing, but note: not just for that. ASC had started to add one new feature after the other, so the program tended to become bloated, or at least overloaded with features I don't need. Like Safeguy, I am using CCleaner now and I am very happy with it.

Yes, I don't use ASC for the reason that the cleaner always create troubles rather than solve your problems and I don't like to inspect every items manually when there is an automatic cleaner available. That's why-I am using Glary utilities, which I used it since quite long ago.Never have problem with it. and Kees, I am absolutely agreed to your opinion on the bloated installation of ASC.Returnil-there are keys for us to use the lux version which are available in this forum and many other sites. So, I can't see how this partnership could help to boost ASC users.

ASC, Glary or even CCleaner...all of them aren't perfect. The 'best' is the one you're most comfortable with...the one that you can safely say "I trust it"...the one that rarely screws up your PC
As for ASC, yes..."bloatedness" is one of the reasons why I'm no longer using it too...I actually started out with Advance WindowsCare that looked like this:

ASC is the successor of AWC...and it's adding more & more features which I find are unnecessary...AWC was faster & 'slimmer'....
@dredge
The partnership helps to introduce to ASC users who might be unaware of Returnil...by introducing their users to Returnil, Iobit gets a better "reputation"...

It's sad to see what has happened to ASC.
I used to love it but with each update more and more has been, unnecessarily, added.
How I wish some companies would just keep things simple.
