    Photoshop CS4

Ever since I started using Photoshop CS4, It has always been laggy to me compared to it's predecessor CS2. Is there a tweak for making CS4 run smoothly?

I am using Windows 7 2.00Ghz - dual core 1GB ram 256 MB graphics memory.

Another gig of ram and a bit more graphics memory would do you well... I use a 3.0 Ghz single core, 256 mb graphics and 3 gigs of ram, and it's snappy as can be. (Or at least it was when I was demoing it haha)

Agree, you need more ram. An upgrade of another 1GB will give you more performance and speed.

Thanks. I have downgraded to CS2 till I get a better box. Then I find out that Photoshop CS2 does not work for Windows 7.

Well , I'm happy with PS CS3 at this moment. CS2 was my fav. before and still a relevant option for me and for most of the XP users. Version CS5 is just mos. away but, I won't jump into another upgrade unless I'm going to buy another CS5 ( graphic enhanced ) compatible box.

Just upgrade your RAM and even better is to upgrade both RAM & Graphic card.
