That should not be a problem. But remember it will slow down the PC a bit because the firewall component of Avast have installed drivers. You may consider uninstalling and reinstalling Avast IS without opting the firewall component.

    Cool

Why don't you install just Avast Antivirus (not Internet Security) and then install some firewall program?

    Happy

I know Avast IS cost and contains more things to do, worthy of consideration subject

But i dont recommend to do it that way, because of two different firewall drivers same time and like sujay say, you pretty sure see some "slowdown's"

That's why it is recommended to reinstall Avast IS opting out the firewall component. In that way those drivers will not be installed.

If remove component feature is there then it is great. Many software have this feature. I am not sure if AIS has this feature...

Call Avast and ask for a refund mentioning that u don;t use the firewall...

    Ok. Do this

    1. Disable the firewall from avast interface
    2. go to Control Panel->Administrative tools->services
    3. browse to Avast firewall specific service. Right click & open properties for it (or them)
    4. For startup - select Disabled
    5. For service status press stop
    6. click apply. click ok
    7. give me $2 for consultation

    Hi
You cannot use 2 personal firewalls at once, Avast Internet Security comes with a firewall built it.

Uninstall ZoneAlarm, reboot, and repair Avast IS via control panel ("add/remove" if you use XP or "program and features" if you use Vista or Windows 7)
More: in order to make Zonealarm working fine on Windows Vista/7 you have to request a fix to Microsoft
    Roger and out
