Translating Sites
I am running Firefox and was wondering what is the best free program for translating sites into English? I have seen that they are several and was wondering what some opinions were. Thanks.

Hi NOKNOT i use bing to translate pages Link as it's as good as any, although my attempt at English to Italian was pretty poor at best.
i hope it doesn't matter that you run Firefox as i just highlight copy and paste, for the results. but if it's directly in FF i can't help as i don't use it, at least this could give you an alternative.

Another alternative Google Translate
.
I don't need to know everything, I just need to know where to find it, when I need it.

You can use Google Toolbar. It support translating + numerous other features. For manual translate, you can use Google Translate and Bing Translator
Windows 7 SP1 Ultimate x86 + KIS 2011 (11.0.2.556 b.a.c.d) + Sandboxie Paid (3.54) + Deep Freeze Standard (7.20.020.3398)

why do not you add http://www.wordreference.com/ to your firefox search engines?
I use it when I do not remember (or I do not know) some words or some idiomatic sentences.
It is not a full stupid automatic translator, it is a dictionary
You should already speak a basic english at least to use it though

I use 2 add-ons gTranslate and Translate, although if I remember correctly one or both had to be force-installed when I have updated Firefox for some time and I still only use v3.5.
If you want something that is version independent there is a bookmarklet called 'To English', not only does it work very well but it saves installing another extension.
