Aiseesoft respectable?
On GOTD is again an Aiseesoft product on offer, this time their MP4 converter suite. Last time they offered Aiseesoft, ACR posted a comment in this forum, saying: "Aiseesoft is listed on hpHosts as a phishing site. The WOT and SiteAdvisor comments regarding Aiseesoft include complaints about bots spamming forums with ads. I listed said info in a comment about the software but GAOTD has not yet posted it. Maybe they will and maybe not." I am not so much interested in this particular product, as to forum members' experiences with Aiseesoft in general. So, if you have interesting observations in regard of this vendor, please post.

I didn't see your post Kees when i went to have a look, WOT just does not want you to go to their site, it would be of interest to Aiseesoft to dispel the claims, there are alot of negative posts about the vendors and it's hard to imagine they haven't noticed, so why have they not taken notice, this in-itself is worrying, for now im happy to give them a wide birth even though most GAOTD users gave pretty much a good account of the software. I have downloaded their DVD ripper before with little or no e-mails from them, but they have so much competition around we are spoilt for choice, and they need to make some sort of statement.

I agree, that is exactly what intrigues me. Why are they playing deaf and thumb? It does not exactly inspire confidence, whatever the alleged quality of their products.

In regards to GOTD I have to say they often censor comments which are against the software they provide every day, included my posts when I show a software is infected or untrustworthy.
Not to count that when I visit GOTD i got a MBAM Pro ip blocker alert.
I stopped trusing in GOTD long time ago.
In regards to Aiseesoft, I do not know what to say
