    you can use both
Winpatrol is mainly a system monitor, a very light HIPS and it is very good to prevent spyware, keyloggers and some exploit to be installed
ThreatFire is a behaviour blocker and it able to block and display the name of the threat detected, ThreatFire has a built in antirootkit scanner and need to be updated.
    ThreatFire is a memory eater.

Before installing it do a system restore point and make sure it is is compatible with your current antivirus/firewall or security suite

    My current Security Setup
    Avira PSS(disabled firewall)
    Comodo Free Firewall(Defense+ enabled)
    Threatfire
    Sandboxie(sandboxed Firefox)

    will winpatrol interfere with them?
is it recommended to turn off Comodo Defense+ ?
because Defense+ is Behavior Based Protection too

    Comodo Free Firewall(Defense+ enabled)
you do not need ThreaFire at all
    and winpatrol won't interfere

Lucky for me a good friend recomended win patrol to me and i haven't looked back as it's on the mark every time, and is no way limited at all, i tried threat fire a couple of times in the past but just couldn't take to it at all.. sometimes it's really about trial and error or seeking out good information from good sources like Leo, the important point that came across was to create a restore point...more reasons to use winpatrol plus from Safeguy

    Winpatrol +1 .
I don't need to know everything, I just need to know where to find it, when I need it.

Win Patrol is great and does just as good and uses hardly any resources....and with your setup you should be well off not getting any nasties in your computer
