    Lightest web browser

Hi guys,I'm looking for a good, light and fast browser, with a nice clean and simple user interface.
I'm thinking of K-Meleon and Chrome are my first choices,
    though other recommendations are welcome

    Thanks

Opera is lightweight, fast at rendering pages but doesn't have extensions as of yet
Both Opera and Chrome have very clean interfaces with minimal toolbar interference.
Further, Chrome and Opera are regarded as some of the fastest browsers available. The benefit of Chrome is the flexibility with extensions for functions like adblocking.

GHacks did a recent test on Javascript rendering with the chrome dev. version beating out Opera 11 Alpha (2nd), IE 9 Beta (4th) and Firefox 4.0 beta (3rd).
These are obviously not the stable versions but should give a general indication of the browsers speed.

Do not know much about K-Melon but have read good things on in terms of speed though I've heard there may be a learning curve?

    Hope it helps

Chrome is not a lightweight web browser (try to open more than 1 tab and you will see). Opera and K-Melon both are lightweight web browsers that I know.

I agree opening a tab will balloon the memory consumption of chrome.

    Thanks for the feedback

K-meleon didn't go so well...it was pretty sluggish.

    I'll try Opera and Qtweb

According to my personal views and knowledge, Opera is lightest web browser.
    Windows 7 SP1 Ultimate x86 + KIS 2011 (11.0.2.556 b.a.c.d) + Sandboxie Paid (3.54) + Deep Freeze Standard (7.20.020.3398)

@koZLoZ, your choices are already good. As for Opera, use it if you have sufficient RAM. For me, though fast, Opera memory usage goes up to 200mb when surfing for about 15 minutes. You may also try Qtweb

Opera memory usage is low to moderate. Chrome is lightweight if you open one or two tabs only. Opening more tabs results in huge memory consumption.
