Microsoft Office 2007 & "Error 1935."
I'm running Win7 on a 64 bit laptop that had Office 2007 pre-installed. I foolishly tried to upgrade to Office 2010. This required me to uninstall 2007; which I did.
Now, for months, I have faced the dreaded "ERROR 1935." The web is filled with "How-To" to solve this problem. Of course, none of them work. Microsoft's own web site has many and contradictory ways to supposedly fix this Error 1935 problem. None of them work, either...
I receive many how-to's from well meaning people that kinda, sorta, think they might know how to reinstall Office 2007, except nothing works. Is this 1935 dilemma part of some insidious Communist Plot? Or, is there actually a method to reinstall Office 2007 on a 64-bit Windows 7 laptop?
Has anyone personally faced this error and resolved this issue?

I think your Microsoft .Net framework is either damaged or missing. Now you can repair or make a fresh install. To repair Click Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs. Select change/remove and next repair. If you want to remove then click remove. Now for a fresh installation download from here. Update here whether it works or not.
I don't need to know everything, I just need to know where to find it, when I need it.

I've been there and done that perhaps 3 or 4 times. Interesting problem, isn't it? I just today did all the updates for Win7, reinstalled the .Net, rebooted, ...

You could downgrade to x86 if you find the modem or ethernet drivers... that's what I did on my desktop. Just my thoughts.
