1. Reset Internet Explorer's setting.
Go to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced tab > and click the Reset button.
2. Download Hijackthis, run it and post the logs here. This will show what BHO is installed.

My wife has started having the same problem with her hotmail account and IE8. Resetting IE didn't solve it. I just downloaded hijackthis - here is the log - any help proceeding from here would be appreciated. Thanks

k...
for the log.. wish i could help wiht it.. not really familiar with that program.. some things i notice..
1. What is the issue you are having? I obviously see you posted elsewhere and Raymond directed you to post the log here, but adding in what the issue is could help those that are looking at it for one..
2. You are have having the issue with IE8 right? I notice firefox is runnign as well, are you having the same problem with FF?? if not, why not just use FF as it is a more "preferable" browser over IE any day (debateable from some I am sure, but most will agree)..
3. If you are a fan of IE, have you considered upgrading to IE9? from my understanding, most secure of the IE line and less "issues" from what I have seen... I hate IE< and won't use it, so can't speak from experience, only from what I have read... first thing I do on any new PC or newley reloaded is DL FireFox :P
4. From the stuff I am seeing.. i don't see anything "out of the ordinary" that just jumps out at me. though I do notice got quite a lot of toolbars runnin there in IE?? do you need all of those? depending on the issue, have you tried disabling your addons that are being utilized by IE?
I guess that could be a start.. wish I could just go right ahead and say i see the issue clear as day.

Post it in two parts. It takes a bit longer because a mod would need to approve it, but then we get an idea of what is happening.
