Thunderbird + RSS Feed
Ok.. tried to do a search but didn't see anything that answered my question..
What I am thinking about doing is trying out the RSS Feed thing. I noticed when I load up thunderbird it has a RSS feed link.. I was wondering if it was worth using RSS feeds over email notifications? never really used them before so figured might give it a try..
So, I guess..
1. is it worth using over just plain email notifications? like for the blog site subscriptions and what not?
2. IF it is.. how do i set Thunderbird up to do it? ive been searching through the dang program and can't seem to find it
not sure if I need a seperate program that connects to thunderbird to link with it or not..i've noticed when you click on the RSS to subscribe.. it will bring up things like google, yahoo, etc.. when i click google (thinking id link it to my gmail account which is set up in thunderbird) it just wants me to get some google thing.. so been hesitant as not sure what is best thing to do
anyway. thanks any advice on it.. rather get it right from the beginning ;P

Thunderbird will double as an RSS Feed Reader. Not a Writer.
It's up to you to make the call. I find adding certain sites (Lifehacker) that constantly update (Lifehacker) and don't always have good articles (Lifehacker) spammy in terms of their RSS feeds. But with email, it's not as bad.
Then you have us that try not to spam you...
I personally stick to email if I like something enough. Otherwise, it's RSS or just favourite and come to visit once in a while.
