Speakers showing no driver software while on skype.

While on skype we couldn't speak to the other party.Clicked onto options then audio settings, found the mic was working ,recording level fluctuating, but the speaker software showing nothing.Went into device manager into audio and game controller, then clicked the audio devices then properties and all showed that the devices were working correctly and yet couldn't speak or hear the other person. Can anyone please help with suggestions, would be appreciated .Thank you. Sound not working also on MSN.

Maybe the issue was on the other side (other party). Try your speakers on a different PC.

    Screw Google! Ask me!

if you go in and did the audio settingsa nd it shows you talking into the mic (the bar moves when you talk) and you push the audio test button and you can hear it from your speakers, there is a good chance the issue is on their side.. my wife has had issues where i couldnt hear them and them me.. problem was something to do on their side.. make sure they go into their settings sand get it right as well... i will bet prolly has to do with them if yours is testing ok..
