Problems with new version of Comodo x64 FireWall

Hi everyone
I am facing some weird problems with Comodo Firewall

1)every time i start the pc it is checking for updates and reporting that their are updates (even when there are none ).

if i give permission to install updates, it shows a dialogue box showing progress(which is painfully slow and irritating)
but when update finishes, i see that the version hasn't changed
and this continues over 3-4 times in a day(sometimes it starts automatically)
and continue hogging my precious bandwidth

2)if i manually check for updates then it repeats the same story of false updates all over again


so i followed the advice of a friend and re-installed it without the "Comodo DNS"
but that isn't helping either

please help me solve the problem,
else help me choose a better alternative to the comodo firewall in terms of ease of use and less user interaction

Hi Funkysourav good to see you back on the forums, the best bet is to try the Comodo website forum and see if they have a fix there, as some of the guys are really great, i have CIS on windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and no problems touch wood, and i use "Comodo DNS".

I agree with JayCub, I have CIS 5.3 and haven't had any problems either. The Mods on the forum are great and will help solve your problems.

It seems a bug has not been fixed
