pls anybody help me..
i have a notebook model compaq presario v3700, 3gb of ram, AMD turion x64 graphic. the original os for this notebook was windows xp but i didn't know the version since my brother has format it into windows 7. but now the windows 7 version has reached it limit/expired and required to reinstall new os. i have this windows xp pro sp3 and had inserted it to the cd/dvd drive and boot it up. i do the normal procedure to format and i have deleted all the partition and create a new as well. but when i enter to install xp on the c drive and format it with ntfs, it reboot and nothing happened. it was saying on the blue screen that i have inserted a wrong cd. it say i must inserted the correct windows sp3 and then enter to proceed. i have this two type os sp3 but none of it working. it just keep coming back that i inserted a wrong cd. pls anyone help me, im getting tired of trying...

Hi!
Make a bootable USB stick with GParted using UNetbootin. Bot from the USB and click New Partition Table on the menu of GParted. This will delete the current partition configuration of your HDD. After that try again installing Xp. Everything should go fine...

Just an added note to what Alboguy said. If you can't boot from USB, then you can also download the GParted iso and burn it in to CD. This is the method I have to use with my PC as it won't boot from USB.
