    Auto backup ssd?

Hello all... I ordered a new custom comp with a 60gig OCZ Vortex 2 ssd as OS and a WD 1tb black as data drive. Unfortuantely I heard that ssds fail without much of a notice (unlike harddrives that spin weird before they fail), so I'm planing on perhaps a separate 65 gig or so partition on the 1TB harddrive that will act as a backup for my SSD. Thing is I have no idea how to do that

Is there some feature in win7 that allows me to do an auto backup, or do i need a separate piece of software?

    Thank you!

I don't think you can do mirroring since one is SSD and the other is SATA.
There are some backup software that you can specify a folder where it'll keep a record on the backup drive.

First you need to use a partition tool to divide the drive in partitions. I recommend Easeus Partition Master Home Edition or GParted. Both of them are free. Then you need to use a third party back up software to make backups. I recommend Macrium Reflect Free which is able to schedule automatic backups.

BTW I forgot you manage your partitions using the windows built-in partition manager too...

    Screw Google! Ask me!
