    Beta Software

I don't know about you guys, but I have a problem. I have a sick obsession with using beta software. This thread is for you to post all the beta software you can find for me and the other readers to munch on.

Here's the beta software (not all of it is software, one is a beta version of a website) I'm already testing or will be testing soon:

    IE10 Platform Preview 1: http://ie.microsoft.com/testdrive/in...s/default.html

    Mozilla Firefox Aurora: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/channel/

    Google Chrome Beta: http://www.google.com/landing/chrome/beta/

    Opera 11.50: http://www.opera.com/browser/next/

    Armor Games v3: http://beta.armorgames.com/

    uTorrent 3.0: http://www.utorrent.com/downloads

i am very surprised to know that you want to use softwares are fond of them...
but, this list caanot be made as every 2-3 weeks or even days the beta softwares will be converted into stable and thus the list needs to be updated very frequently..
as a case of chrome and Mozilla .. their devlopers are in litlle bit hurry.. they are continuosly going for betas..

in reverse case .. some softwares devlopment is slow and thus they can be in list.. but, don't know they will be updated to stable.. hence we have to check precisely and continuously.. tough job..

I don't exactly want a list, I kinda wanted it to just be a thread where people post the newest betas. I greatly appreciate the help though

I like to test beta versions on Firefox and Chrome but I always use a stable version as my default browser.
Linux Distro at the moment Fedora 17 / Firefox 12.0

    Happy

For me it depends what kind of program is in question. Example just music player for your pc or notepad replacement, it doesnt matter so much for me and Beta goes well. But if we talk about computer/internet security i go always final and stable releases. Like security suites, antivirus programs, firewalls, web browsers and stuff like that

That is why I use a specific medium-spec PC without any valuable things or credit card information on it so nothing is stolen. I already have an antivirus (KIS 2011) and another would do more harm than good.

The game Beta versions look interesting, but beta is hit and miss unless you send feed back and if you find bugs, try Alpha and you will find plenty of bugs and can influance future releases.

I agree with Funky. Usually I try only Chrome beta. Among security softs Winpatrol beta.

I use Alpha version . Yes well said funky agree with him. Used beta several times in past but now only using stable one.
I don't need to know everything, I just need to know where to find it, when I need it.

I always prefer the stable version. First, because I'm not a software engineer and I'm not paid to do it.Secondly, I only beta test software that's within the scope of my knowledge. It's wrong to make beta testing as a hobby unless you are truly a responsible one. Feed-backs are very important in that field.

Beta testing is not for minors, oh...I mean for newbies
