Avast Pro V6.0.1289 Web Shield Service Stopped
Tow days ago, I recently change my AV from Kaspersky to Avast Pro.
Installation was succeed, but after I opened the Avast interface, one of the service component is stop-->web shield.
Tried to click Fix Now and Turn on but no luck.
avast.jpg
Try to google and found some trick to fix it, but didn't work for me.
What I've done so far:
1. Tried to repair, restart-->web shield service still stopped.
2. Tried to change-->it seem download lots of file, after done, I restarted, but no positive result.
3. Uninstalled it, reboot, download a new fresh installer-->install it, but it not resolved the problem
I looked to setting-->status bar-->all the components were checked.
Anyone have idea?
PS: I tried to attach picture from imgur.com and imagshack, but there is invalid url notification. So I decide to attach directly from my laptop.

Perhaps there are some Kaspersky leftovers
try Kaspersky Remover, first
http://support.kaspersky.com/faq/?qid=208279463
Then uninstall Avast using their Uninstall Utility
http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility
Once rebooted download a fresh copy of Avast and reinstall it
just some questions:
1) are you accustomed to defrag your system periodically? If not, please defrag your HD, before proceeding
2) did you get infected lately?
I'd reccomend to scan your system with SuperAntispyware portable
http://www.superantispyware.com/portablescanner.html?tag=SAS_HOMEPAGE
and HitMan Pro (30 days free trial: activate it only if malware is found)

If you are using MBAM Pro, try to turn off blocking websites. That could happen because a fellow website blocking conflict. Sometimes it can not run simultaneously, it is better to choose one just activated.

Agree with the others here, certainly sounds like some sort of conflict.
As well as what has already been suggested; try disabling any other security programs you may have installed and see if that fixes it.
It is often better to keep one's mouth shut and appear to be a fool than to open it and remove all doubt!

@Leo
Sorry for may late reply. I've been go to my village yesterday
1. Before I installed Avast, I removed Kaspersky with utility that you've suggested.
2. I also already removed Avast by their uninstall utility on saturday, and download a new fresh installer, but no good result.
3. Last defrag was 2 month ago, now I'm still defrag with Auslogic defrag utility, I hope it fix the problem.
4. No, Leo. I didn't get infected lately. But after defrag, I'll scan my laptop with spyware portable and hitman pro. I'll let you know when its done.
@Solin
Yes, I used Malwarebytes. But, when I turn off blocking websites, its not fix the problem, even after reboot.
@Brightspark
I tried to disabling malwarebytes, but nothing happen. Web shield services still stopped.
May be any other suggestion?

@Leo
1. Defrag done.
2. Scan with Spyware portable-->nothing found
3. Scan with Hitman Pro-->found only few cookies.
4. Reboot-->nothing happened. The problem still there :'(
Any solution?

@ Kayan
Do you run other security software in background (eg: a Behavior Blocker and/or a third party personal firewall) ? If so, please temporarily disable them while installing Avast.
Do not forget to set MBAM not to start when Windows start before proceeding, you may re-enable it once you have successfully installed Avast.
What O.S and Service Pack are you running? (XP SP2/SP 3 - Vista SP 1/SP 2- 7/7 SP 1 - 32bit or 64 bit)
Is Windows up to date (Windows update, I mean)? If your OS is not up to date, run Windowsupdate immediately and install all the important and critical patches
Before using Kasperky did you run a different antivirus/security suite? (eg: Mc Afee, Norton, F-Secure, ESET NOD32).
Here is a list of Antivirus uninstallers
http://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php?topic=59979.0
Now please clean you browser and system with CCleaner once done download and run the following Microsoft FIX It (they works with Windows Vista or 7 only)
http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall/
http://support.microsoft.com/mats/slow_windows_performance/
Now download again Avast then install it with administrator privileges (see: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/11841-run-administrator.html )
If you still experience troubles I'd reccomend to ask to their support forum

What kind of account do you use when updating Avast? Is it set to update automatically?
