Segate External harddrive - Data Error - Cyclic Redundancy Check
Hi,
I have 500GB Segate External HDD. I divided into 2 partitions. But I am able to access only one partition recently. The another partiotion I am not able to access. it is showing error like "Data Error - Cyclic Redundancy Check". Is there any possible way to recover data in that partition?
In disk management it is showing the partition as a "RAW" & Healthy partition. My operating system is Windows 7.
Please help me in this issue.
Thanks in advance

Experienced User
I did a Google search on windows 7 raw partition access LINK and found many others have had a similar problem. And what I saw there are a number of possible causes. I don't know which apply to your situation, but I thing there's a solution among them.
I'd also do a search on recover raw partition LINK
Sorry, I just don't any personal experience with this type of problem.
Also, take a look at this page at Easeus HERE But Easeus Data Recovery isn't free.
I did notice an opensource app, TestDisk, mentioned in one forum that might help you. Did do a search for reviews on it. Here's a LINK to it's wiki page.
