    "Office Automation" privacy-issues.

Many years ago, a professor told me that there were several privacy-issues when dealing with office software, such as, for example, MS Word.
He said that with appropriate tools it was possibile to retrieve a lot of info on a *.doc file.

For example, it would have been possible to trace back the history of a sentence.

Just to be clearer, if I write in a resumé:
    French: good.
and the day after I corret this sentence to:
    French: Very Good.
then save it and send to a Company for valutation... Well, the HR technician, by using those tolls, could be able in knowing that my first sentence was: "French: good".

I've never had a chance to evaluate such kind of sowftware and I don't even know if this is possibile.

Do you know something about it?
    Thank you in advance,

I am not very sure if I am correct.. But as far as I know, It MAY be possible, but may not be so specific as your example. One of my friends is a Computer Forensics Analyst and I am not aware of the tools they use, you know they keep the names of tools a secret , but yes he did say that it was possible to know what the date and time a file was created, modified and "what modifications were done in that file" etc etc... But that is a very complex process I believe...

Thank you for your reply, tejaswi. I read it yesterday evening and then I spent a couple of hours looking for something in google (by using that magic adjective "Forensics" that you've used).
    Found nothing useful, though...
Anyway: It is the right way. Thank you again.
