Just wondering if there is any free tool for identity protection sort of thing to be safe while using banking sites.

My bank uses Trusteer Rapport to secure online transaction, but you would have to check to see if your bank does as well.

Looks nice. I don't think it is available with all. So a browser protection or identity protection tool will be nice.

Just wondering how those identity protection features in paid software work ? Does it in actual save you even if your PC is infected ?

There is option in avast internet security term as "SAFEZONE"
I had read somewhere if you use it at time of online banking you will be safe either there is infection on machine

Yep, paid tools has this facility. Just checking if there is any freeware for the same.
