Using Avast Free + Online Armor Free Firewall. Good for me, not a fan of Symantec anymore. But I if you ask me, get a copy and try it on your PC. Normally all leading antivirus suites are have similar detection rate. It is ease of use, effect on system resources and advanced settings (for power users) and interface that plays a good role in selecting between two major AV suite. Continue with the one which you feel comfortable with.

I tested, installed and removed many antivirus in my life. Finally my best choice has been ProphylaxisX86 by SyringeSoft®.
I would never and for no reason use a different antivirus.

ProphylaxisX86 alerts me when I start to sneeze and a nice pop up prompts to tell me "Hey hey, there is something wrong here. I suspect a virus infection. Would you like me to take care of your bad cold?"
This occured because I was in the NET and I catched a chill.
ProphylaxisX86 is just wonderful since it leads you to get scared before any infection can take place.
I am very happy with it, because I am sure that I cannot be infected
My life has no longer been the same, since.

It installs in minutes and no reboot is required.
It works on Windows 7 64 bit, also!
    Try ProphylaxisX86 you won't regret

Got an injection myself and no reboot required should be good over the winter months to keep viruses at bay....
