What Is Waterfox?

• Waterfox is basically a 64-Bit version of Firefox. The Firefox source code is taken and compiled to run specifically for 64-Bit Windows computers. To make Waterfox stand out a bit more, it’s compiled with optimizations so that it will run more efficiently and faster than just compiling Firefox as a 64-Bit program.

Which is a shame since Firefox is at version 8... ah well, I'm planning on going to Linux anyway once my new parts come in.

After checking the uploaded date in sourceforge plus reading the news page, I believe Waterfox 7.0 is Firefox 7.0.
The home page also announced that the next version (I believe v8) will be released tomorrow.

Interesting Lizardman i wouldn't mind trying it out at least..... if IE comes with both 32bit and 64bit why not FF...

Waterfox 8.0 has been released, they provide languages packs for non english mother tongue people also
