IE 9 filter blocks Sun Java Applets!!
I have disabled IE9 filter and when ever I go to a webpage, like free slots that requires the use of Sun Java, the webpage say, "Sun Java is not installed in my computer. I have even tested on the Sun Java download site and the test shows that I do not have Sun Java installed. (My computer shows Sun Java installed, and I can uninstall and re-install and the software is listed in my start menu, plus two of my uninstallers.
Search the internet related to this problem and I get conflicting ideas on how to resolve the problem and none of them work.
Please, any body have any really good ideas how to resolve this problem.
Please excuse my English grammar as English is not my primary. (Japanese is my primary language).
Thanks in advance

Try this, Press Alt + T and select Manage add-ons.
Check if there is a Java Plug-In there and with the status Enabled or Disabled.

Hi, Raymond:
Sorry for the delay I am the sole medical doctor for over 32,000 KUNA YALA Indians. I donate my services to them as they reside in the interior of Panama with no clean running water, or electric. (I have to use a generator to operate my computer & other emergecy equipment that requires electric).
Prior to posting I performed the actions that you recommended. Java is plug-In and "Enabled", and I keep uninstall and reinstall the newest version. Problem started with IE9 filter. Even if I turned off the filter, still will not work. I have Smart Whois, by TamoSoft New Zealand and this software is enblaed. Plus Adobe Flash, that is enabled, and works. Smart Whois, will not work with IE9 because the icon will not install with IE9. I open the sofware from my tray icon on Windows 7 Home Premium and copy and paste the http link.
Thank, you very much for your support. This is not a major problem, and I have been around computers since IBM. (I fix any problem my self, because the computer engineers here are suppose to be certified, and most are not. Even the certified Microsoft people will reinstall your entire platform for the smallest problem).
Raymond, I have been a beta tester for security problems since computers came on to the market. I use Eset NOD32 Anti Virus, new version that just came out today. (This anti virus is the only one I have found that can block any webpage in any languages. All of the others failed to block or even catch a script error in real time). I work a lot in Russian, Arabic, Faris and Mandarin.
Best regards,
Hubert

Since Java is enabled, you may have ActiveX Filtering enabled.
Run Internet Explorer, press Alt + T and check if the ActiveX Filtering has a checkmark at the side.
If there is, simply select ActiveX Filtering to deselect it and you should be able to run Java applets on IE9.

Dear Raymond:
Computers can be very strange, and at times one feels like there is a ghost in the computer. None of your suggestions that I had already tried prior to posting worked. (I just gave up). All that you recommended failed to resolve the problem.
For some unknown reason both the active X filtering is enabled and Java plug in is enabled and the problem has resolved this morning with no reason that I can explain. (Strange things happen with computer and I have no explanation why).
Many thanks for your very kind time and support. I read how busy you are with your profession.
Warm regards,
MindDoctor
