MP3 player will not charge or show files in my computer .
Recently , I took my computer to a shop to be worked on because of virus related issues . I didn't have a complete reinstall done , but some programs they had to remove and now the MP3 player is not showing up in my PC .
I did go into my computer , click manage , open device manager , and see a ! exclamation point next to USB mass storage device . So I uninstalled it and clicked action to search for new hardware and notice at the bottom of my monitor screen it says :new hardware found and still nothing .
I tried updating the driver and even the firmware for Sanza clip and told no updatable Sanza product has been recognized .
Any ideas , because something went wrong when the PC was repaired .

What error code and message do you see on the exlamation point next to the USB mass storage device?

I see a ! " exclamation point next to USB mass storage device and also next to " simple communications controllers . There is no error code or message other then what I mentioned . It was suggested on another site such as this to take it back to the shop that worked on it because it sounds like a possible error on their part .

Try double clicking on the device that shows the exclamation point and it will open up the device's property window showing the error code.

I took the MP3 back to that shop , plus another and was told the it's most likely defective . The original shop plugged the MP3 into their computer and got the same error code . I'm taking it back tonight for an exchange , thanks for the help .
