The same problem returned MP3 downloaded music when open will not play!

Yesterday a long standing problem that worked 100% with Windows 7 Home Premium for over one year, for some unknown reason all new MP3 downloads for the past three months when I open the MP3 file to play I get "Server Execution Failed".

This problem was resolved I thought with Codec Tweaking Tool posted on this site. (I was able to open MP3 files and they played in the morning. My the afternoon the same problem returned).

I am using K-Lite Codec Pack. Should I be using another Codec Pack, because I have no problems with streaming movies, or downloaded movies that are free. My music plays on my "Radio Sure", "Virtual DJ", "Windows Media Center", and Windows Media Player", that comes with Windows 7.

I removed K-Lite, tested MP3 play same error, reinstalled K-Lite Codec and same error.

When MP3 works I can transfer the music if I desire to Windows Media Player. Now this is not possible, and play is not possible due to "server Execuction Failed".

MP3 music downloads are important to me as I have friends in just about every country in the world who are music artist and they send me their new music releases for review and feedback, as I play classical piano and drum since the age of seven with concerts in France and New York City. (Now most of my time is devoted to medicine). No concerts, just enjoy listening to all types of music and giving my personal reviews.

K-Lite I actually do not know what should be checked off, or do nothing and just install as "default", because I am able to enjoy movies from all over the world that are streaming free. Perhaps I need a different codec package.

Hal900 was correct when he said, "I do not know what actually fixed the problem will probably return".

Any adivse will be sincerely apprciated as I am frustrated with not being able to resolve this problem when I had harder problems to resolve going back to IBM, and they were resolved by me. (This one seems to have no solution).

    Thanks to all in advance.

Yo have to reset your default media player first, check whether your mp3 file collections are still in good faith and uninstall any unnecessary app that might be interfering with your codecs in placed. I think you're already covered by this post and this article.
