Thank you for replying so quickly, the program is designed to run on a CAD system..... I am a police officer tasked with loading this program onto the laptops in all the cruisers. The program links to our dispatch and allows all the officers to receive dispatches and run queries on vehicles and people as related to our job. I had no problem loading the software onto Windows 7 stater but will not load onto Windows 7 Home Premium. Sorry for being so wordy and I will understand if you do not wish to provide assistance due to me being a police officer.... Either way thank you for responding.

    Thank you,

    Kinnepak

P.S. I really enjoy your newsletter I am learning a lot! Keep up the good work.

-- ACAD? what version..? the installer of ACAD has it's own MSXML, my ACAD 2009 installer has it's own instead of Windows 7's. when i update ACAD it also updates it's elements..well that's just me here..also if it's CAD software maybe you can visit CADTutor.net for further exposure Sir

We always help because we can and don't choose who we want to help or not.

Since it is a custom software and runs fine on Windows XP, you may want to try running it in compatibility mode. Right click on the program, select properties, go to Compatibility tab, check ""Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and select Windows XP in the list.

Another thing to consider is running the program as Administrator since Windows XP does not have the UAC restrictions. On the same compatibility tab, check Run this program as administrator.

I am not sure, but give this a try

    1. Right click on setup file

    2. Properties > Compatibility > Run this program in compatibility mode for

    3. You will find XP in the list.

The above method normally works for popular software.

Also there is a feature called XP mode free to download from Microsoft which will allow you to install and run XP compatible programs in Windows 7.
One day, you'll be just a memory for some people. Do your best to be a good one.
