Why a compressed DVD? If I want to place Heroes episode 1-5 in DVD, I'd use Nero Vision, go to Make DVD, Add the 1-5 Video Files, wait for it to convert and then create a simple menu.

I am not really sure how they did that too. Just like some DVDs, they are able to put up to 3-4 movies in them...

trading quality of the video files for more space. That's what I noticed when I watch the 5 in 1 movie dvds.
Sometimes you are able to keep the quality of the video BUT the end result is a format that's not supported by many dvd players.

If you have movies in .avi, .mpeg. or .divx you can fit 4-5 on a DVD.
But that depends on how big each one is and here I am not talking about DVD movies...

You can fit 10 episodes on a DVD if it's a double layer DVD (for which you need a DVD player that is able to do that...).

Otherwise, the highest compression is somewhat what can be achieved with standard DVD shrinking tools (DVD Shrinker etc.).
    Something to remember...

Well, you need a double layer DVD-R/+R and a DVD burner that can burn double layer DVDs.
