    Hi,

I have quite a lot movies on my PC in mkv format (because of the high quality) and i wanted to burn them on a DVD to play them on a DVD player, i found a software program for that, called ConvertXtoDVD, but when i try to convert my mkv movies to DVD, i get constant error messages like "error at decoding stream 0&0" and my DVD movies are screwed up?

Does anyone here knows a better program for converting mkv files to DVD? or a solution to that error message? And preferable in high quality, because i heard some rumors that VSO ConvertXtoDVD has not a good quality...

    Thanks, Aegis

ConvertXtoDVD always works for me. As Raymond said, make it burn in high quality, to do it Go to Settings --> Encoding--->choose High Quality, it takes along time but it comes out good.

Now about the errors, try converting the .mkv movies to another format uising a video converter and then use ConvertXtoDVD.

    Hope It Helps

I don't even bother trying to burn my .mkv files to DVD because most of them are 8GB and double-layer discs are expensive. So I connect my computer to my HDTV to watch them in all their gloriousness!

Although mkv files are small and good in quality, they are quite difficult to convert to other formats, I've tried converting them, but in the end I just wasted a whole day and with no results.....made me so mad...That's why I never tried it again. I was going ask it on the forum but Aegis beat me to it.

I always try to download the movie film or other music files in their best and popular format. This make my work easy when using Nero Vision. No need to waste time in converting them to other formarts when popular format are supported by Nero Vision.
