Disk Cleanup shuts down computer

Hi folks. I had a phone call from a friend/client who uses XP Pro. Each time he runs Disc Cleanup, it shuts down his computer. I am assuming this shutdown is at the end of cleanup. I assumed there is a box somewhere to be unticked, but I sure cannot find it! Any help would be really appreciated.

I don't think Disk Cleanup will shut down the computer when it's done.

1. Try running disk cleanup in Safe Mode. Maybe there's just too much going on in Windows that's causing this weird behavior.

2. Use CCleaner.

Thank Raymond. Yes, I had not struck this before. I will be calling on him after the Easter holidays so will follow your suggestions then.
