I don't know if this is the best location for this post. Anyway, I have installed kaspersky anti-virus and it runs smoothly with the activation key from the kaba365 forums. But after sometime that my pc is switched on, kaspersky starts acting strangely because its module avp.exe begins messing with my hd and kaspersky itself doesn't report me that it's scanning or something. avp strongly begins to use all my hd and won't let me for example switch applications. My hd led switches on and won't switch off along with the hd noise. And this happens everytime

Kaspersky by default automatically scans startup objects. You can disable it in Settings.
It also provides real time protection. So whenever Windows access any files, it will scan.
Do you have many programs installed in your computer? And also how fast is your computer?

I know of the startup objects scan but it doesn't slow down completely my hard disk. my cpu is a quad core, hard disk 7200rpm, i have many progs installed. But that doesn't count because even at startup doesn't slow down my pc. I used file monitor and I could barely see what was avp.exe doing. My system was completely slowed down. All it was doing was accessing temp files (read/write/query information). I'm using it right now and it is completely normal. It's just that once in a while starts using my hd all the time i can't even switch apps or even doesn't load the desktop. By the way, windows wasn't accessing any files

That's weird as I do not get that problem as I am using Kaspersky Internet Security.
1. Check if you're using the latest version of Kaspersky AntiVirus. Latest version is 7.0.1.325.
2. Try clearing your temp files.
3. KAV should have a few protection types. Try stopping one by one and see which protection is causing the problem.

This is why I don't like anything but Norton. =D But, on a serious note, try clearing your cookies and your internet clutter. Try defragging your HD, but I don't know if that'll help at ALL.

Not even Norton can protect you...

I've given up. It isn't on my bright side anymore. I'll give away the activation key. That av is like a virus for me rather than anti-virus. Switching back to the best one for me that I don't even have to crack. Viva NOD32 v3 !

Yeah if it doesn't suite you, giving the key away will be a good idea. That's why there are many brands of antivirus. Some will work better for you and some don't.
