Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 Problem!!! Help!!!

okay here is the problem i have Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 and it won't start up. when i came home from school i was going to scan the computer but i realized it had closed down i tried starting it up using the shortcut nothing came up i looked at the properties of the shortcut and it was setup properly. I tried going into the program folder and launching avp.exe and nothing happened. now i need this solved soon i can't sit on AVG Free Edition forever.

Here's what you can do, see if the services of Kaspersky are running. As far as I know KIS services are protected by self defense but its Binary anything can happen.

yes two of the Kaspersky processes are running its avp.exe one is system the other is the user one i think i over reached about that :P but the icon isn't in the system tray

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs > click Change/Remove button for Kaspersky Internet Security 2009. Click Repair.

The keys which were obtained from that Barclay's promotion are now being blacklisted. I tried 2 keys and both were blacklisted. Did anyone else face this??

negative my keys works great just did an update no problems..
i am going to reinstall my OS in a second in which i will also install kaspersky IS 2009 i will let you know if my key still works..

I Encountered the same problem with Kav7 long ago. There is some problem in the registry entry. Simple, solution: re-install the product. While uninstalling, don't forget to tick "keep activation data"

i tried another key on my desktop and fortunately it worked! I'll have to change the key in my laptop as well. Probably the key which i had was misused by someone else who also got the same key?!?!

don't worry i ended the process avp.exe and the screen flashed so then i tried opening it then it worked also the key i've got hasn't been blacklisted, i'm updating it now

Yes, they are being blacklisted now, for sure.
Barclays are obviously checking "account" details against their real accounts.
Mine became blacklisted quite suddenly yesterday...
It was good though while it lasted. Thanks Raymond!

Hmmm... I wonder when Raymond will draw the real key competition? ;)
