AVG 8 Uninstall

Dear Raymond,

I want to uninstall Avg8 free edition from my computer. In doing so, there is an error "Installer initialization failed due to the following error:
Warning: Internal error. Dialog with id "Avg4EsDlg" was not found in the setup." Can you help me please? Thank you very much.

Unfortunately, at this time Grisoft, the maker of AVG, does not have an uninstall utility for AVG. The recommended procedure is a time consuming one. You must download the latest version of AVG from the website, and then run it.

1) Click on the following link and download AVG to your desktop

2) Double-click on the downloaded file to run it
3) AVG will present you with three options to choose from. Choose the Uninstall option to completely uninstall AVG

Add/Remove Components - choose if you want to add/remove some components or reinstall the entire AVG program
Repair installation - this option repairs or reinstalls missing or damaged components of AVG
Uninstall - this option removes the AVG program from your PC

4) Once the uninstall has completed, restart your computer. You can then proceed to install another antivirus or install AVG again.

wait a minute i had this problem what it was for me was when i had avg i upgraded to the latest avg 8 and the setup was incompatible your best bet is too reinstall if you still have the setup on your computer then uninstall through add remove programs like shan suggested all go to start>programs>AVG Free 8.0>then unistall it

You can use AVG 8.0 Uninstall utility from http://free.grisoft.com/doc/5390/us/frt/0 and try to uninstall it.
Alternatively you can download and use Revo Uninstaller from here http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html and Uninstall the program(AVG 8.0 ,i,e bloatware) completely. Your problem must be solved after performing these steps. :)
