The temporary folder is full or is inaccessible to Yahoo messenger.
Increase temporary internet files limit in IE and run a disk cleanup.

Navigate to your Start menu
my computer
c drive
program files
then Yahoo
Messenger
now go to stored ims(delete whats in here)
now navigate back to the yahoo messenger folder to cache folder
(delete whats in here)
now back to the yahoo messenger folder
delete the following only files that says
emptygrps.(username) reboot and hopefully
that solves ur issues
if not
uninstall yahoo through add and remove programs
then now this is important go back to my computer c drive proigram files to yahoo yellow folder and delete it
then reboot and reinstall yahoo after you have rebooted
this should install a clean yahoo messenger for you

Do you use IE 7 ? Try this : reinstall your Internet Explorer with fresh source, download first from Microsoft.
Look at his article : http://www.pramudita.com/yahoo-messenger-error-not-enough-storage-solved.html

lol - that method was to delete the temp files.. :P Thats what the others were getting you to do.. :P

Mark, the site he posted didn't ask him to clear the temp files. It asked him to reset the settings of IE. So I guess it's the same as reinstalling IE (As suggested by Gold_Hunter). Grats that you solved your problem.
