windows update isnt working properly after a repaire

i resantly had a small accident and had to reinstall xp. after i did that the updates were not installing. i selected all updates and clicked install. then after some time it shows me a message saying the updates werent installed.
is there anyway to fix this.

BTW: does anyone know the downloaded updates are stored.

thanks man i was able to download but that automatic updates thing is still not installing any updates

Have you checked the 'Download and Install Updates Automatically' option in Control Panel>Windows Updates?

yes it was on install automaticlly but it asked me to install must be because i had to accept license agrement. u changed them and did no differece but i formated.

its not that bad its only good for big guys as long as they understand what to install and what not to
