Tools to Force Games into Windowed Mode

Are there any tools besides DxWind that minimize full screen games? For the game I'm trying to minimize, it uses a separate application to launch the game, so the '-window' thing won't work.

For Dos game, Alt+Enter would work but Windows games, I don't know a method that can do that.

Some games would run in windowed mode if you add -w or -window switch when running the game. Some can be done from the .ini configuration file. It'd be best to consult the game forum because every game is developed differently.

I also heard that Vista allows you to choose between full screen or windowed. Pick a resolution in-game. Close the game. Right click on the game (or go in the game section in Vista) and from all options, you'll see full screen/windowed.
