    Task manager issue!

    Hello everyone

    From last week I can't open my task manager, when I go for it by pressing ctrl+al+del it tells me "task manager has been disabled by your administrator". I wonder what might have caused it, is it a virus? I hv kaspersky installed and regularly updated. Also I am not seeing any other problems in my pc. Please tell me what might have cause such problem and how to fix it.

    Thank you.

    Hello BlackMamba88.

    Download TrendMicro HijackThis.exe (HJT) to the Desktop.

    • Double-click on HJTInstall.
    • Click on the Install button.
    • It will automatically place HJT in C:\Program Files\TrendMicro\HijackThis\HijackThis.exe.
    • Upon install, HijackThis should open for you.
    • Click on the Do a system scan and save a log file button
    • HijackThis will scan and then a log will open in notepad.
    • Copy and then paste the entire contents of the log in your post.
    • Do not have HijackThis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

    I thinks it's virus! You should update antivirus and scan your HD. Then you download and use Remove Restrictions Tool to enable taskmanager. Restart your pc, issue still there or not?

    It would have been wiser to use the HijackThis first, because there is a strong chance the malware will just lock it back up.

    Paint Problem Solved!

    Hey guys, thanks a lot for your help. RRT has fixed the problem for now. I used HijackThis before performing action with RRT.

    Log from HijackThis Attached.

    @Raymond
    I am a great fan of your blog man. I found your blog from digitalpoint forum in the review section where you said how well your blog was doing without any SEO / Link Developement effort. After visiting your blog I know why its so popular, your blogs asset is its content, awesome contents actually. I would be happy if you visit my first blog(4 months old) and gimme some tips or suggestions. My blog is symbiansmartphone(dot)com and its about symbian os based smartphones, mainly nokia items.

    Thanks!

    RRT is just an analysis tool. It does not have the ability to fix anything.

    @evilfantasy

    If RRT doesn't have the ability to fix anything then how come I can open task manager after running RRT and removing restrictions?
