flash drive protection
hi,
dos anyone know how to protect flash drives from intrusions. I inserted my flash drive into someones pc to print my file but instead it removed my files and copies some unknown files. subsequently, i reformatted the usb.
i read that avira antivir can be installed on flash drive to protect it but after downloading it onto flashDrive during installation i could not make it install on flashdrive. i have a transcend v10 and kingstone.
looking forward to your usually good advice.
thanks

I believe that there isn't a good free real-time scanner AV for flash drives. There are some such as Clam-AV, Portable Antivirus 1.6, which purportedly offers realtime protection, but the last time I checked, they failed to do so. Either buy a pendrive with a read only switch or create a dummy file.
