KIS vs BitDefender 2009

Currently I am using McAfee Total security 2009 since last 6-7 months. Its making my system quite slow (atleast it is taking 3-4 minutes during startup to give back control to user) ad for full scan of 70-80GB its taking 4-5 hrs. Am planning to switch over to alterate suites. Have already got KIS & BIS 2009 license. Can anyone tell me which IS is best in terms of better scanning speed & anti-virus/trojan projection.

I am using KIS and i think it has better virus detection rate. Not sure about the scanning speed, never tested it but i am quite satisfied with KIS scanning speed tho. Try both and see which one suits you better because you might not like one of their firewall settings.

I prefer KIS 2009. I'm using Kis 2009 that work fine and memory usage is little!

KIS is d best...got a good GUI.n easy to understand....KIS also have better performance n scanning time......BIS,is quite hard to understand coz got lot of section/tabs...lol......

KIS scan speed is faster than Bitdefender I guess. Jusging from my sister laptop and my desktop. She runs Bitdefender Total Security.

The old Bitdefender was good. But 2009 is crap. Kaspersky on idle takes like 20+mb of ram and 40+mb of ram during scan. My KIS can scan finish in less than 15 minutes. That includes maximum detection settings and all the drive of my computer. With Bitdefender, is harder to work with crack or keygen.

I don't know. My sister use the 2008 version and said the 2008 one better compare to 2009. Somehow the effectiveness of 2008 cannot be seen in 2009. She should know as she have been using bitdefender for like 2 years already.

Kis is your best bet especially if you have cracks or keygens on your hard drive. Bitdefender deletes them indiscriminately without even prompting.
